Aurea is a Berlin-based community for founders, researchers, artists, students, builders, and thinkers, centered in vibrant Friedrichshain, right next to lovely Boxhagener Platz (’Boxi’).

General Information

Aurea consists of two flats on the same block, 200m apart, featuring:

Most of all, Aurea is an inclusive and collaborative community of diverse, yet like-minded people supporting each other in their common mission to make the future of humanity go well. 💚 (See sections ‘Vision’ & ‘Culture’ below)

Rent

Aurea is a non-profit project, financed by all residents via monthly rent payments. Rent includes a bedroom, access to all shared amenities, utility bills, common purchases (e.g. toilet paper, soap), and weekly cleaning. Depending on the size and amenities of the bedroom, rent varies from 400€-1200€. Bigger rooms, and rooms in the newer of the two flats tend to be more pricey.

Join Aurea!

For more information on current and upcoming vacancies, get in touch with us here so we can get to know you and you can let us know about your price range, move-in date, and approximate time range (a few weeks/months, or long-term). Our residency volunteers will reach out to you and schedule a call so we can get to know each other and answer all questions you might have.

If you are interested in becoming a long-term resident and we believe you might be a good fit, you will have the opportunity to live in Aurea for one month (during a 'trial living' period) in order to get to know Aurea. Subsequently, the community will hold a residency townhall to reach a consensus-based decision regarding your long-term residency.

We especially want to encourage women to apply! 🌻
